I Don’t Know How To Put This, But The Trailer For “Anchorman 2” Is Kind Of A Big Deal Posted by Lucas Garrison on 06/19/13 | Filed under Humor, Video, Movies

If you have ever read Refined Hype before, you must know that we have a obsession with "Anchorman" that teeters on the brink of obsession. There is no possible way to even measure how many "Anchorman" references were made in the site's history—unless one of you wants to got back through ever article ever—but I’d have to imagine it is far too many for a site with “Refined” in the name. Well, if you are tired of us talking about how things escalated quickly or how a burrito is delicious but filling, we have good news; with the official release of the trailer it means "Anchorman 2" is right around the corner and soon we will have plenty of new Anchorman references to make!



With the exception of "Rocky", "Star Wars" and a few others, sequels are usually a bust, but considering how great the original was, I am going to trust (hope) that this will deliver. It’s hard to get a read from the trailer, but it looks pretty promising. All the original cast is back and they added Rob Lowe so how can you go wrong?

I am fully expecting Rex Mantooth to show up at some point too. How can you not be a little bit excited for a movie that to this day is still one of the most quoted, topical films. The fact you can still get laughs with a properly placed “Milk was a bad choice” or “I Love Lamp” goes to show the staying power of this movie; “I immediately regret that decision” is still in my regular rotation of hilarious jokes. I know comedies aren’t usually considered “good” movies, but this has to be one of the best/most memorable movies of our generation; nearly a decade later, it is just as relevant as it was in 2004. So Refined Hype nation, are you as obsessed with "Anchorman" as we are? Looking forward to the sequel?
