Boy, That Escalated Quickly: J. Cole Delivers “Truly Yours 2” EP (Listen & Download)

Because there's nothing in life that can't be summed up by an "Anchorman" quote, I'll let Ron Burgundy let the world know how I feel about J. Cole's new "Truly Yours 2". Ron, let 'em know homie...

Goddamn right this escalated quickly. On Monday morning we had no idea any new J. Cole material was on the way, and by Tuesday night not only did we have one of the best tracks he's ever made, but a brand new EP materialized out of nowhere. Well then, thanks Jermaine. Even if we're all spoiled by how much free music we already get, we appreciate it.

Full disclosure, I know y'all are going to take this as shot, but it's absolutely not. I just can't lie and write this like I've already listened...

Not a shot at J. Cole in the least, but I'm way too deep into this "Acid Rap" to listen to "Truly Yours 2" right now.

First thing tomorrow though, "Truly Yours 2" is on deck in the headphones. In all seriousness, I'm stoked to hear this, and I'm getting more stoked ("stokeder"?) by the minute for the June 25 arrival of this "Born Sinner" album.

In the meantime, enjoy...
