Fails of the Week: Snoop Loves Aaron Hernandez, Jay Elec Gets Detoxed & MorePosted by Nathan S. on 07/05/13 | Filed under Humor, Fails of the Week, Fails |
The dictionary defines "Schadenfreude" as pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. In that case, we're about to get Schadenfreude like a motherfucker up in this piece.
For the latest edition of "Fails of the Week" (aka your favorite running column that doesn't involve random hot girls) I tackle Jay Electronica's ridiculous suggestion that his album's dropping soon, Snoop Lion's questionable support for Aaron Hernandez and much more.
Enjoy...
ok. now it’s my turn. Lets Go.

Allow me to clear up confusion. When Jay Elec tweeted that out yesterday a lot of people though he was referring to his mega-awaited debut album. Now that J. Cole and Jay-Z have dropped albums, it's his turn.
It's easy to see how you could get confused, but I've used some of my Illuminati connections to find out what Elec really meant, and I've discovered the truth is far different:
Not a "MCHG" reference, he means he's up next at the Rothschild beer pong tournament RT @JayElectronica ok. now it’s my turn. Lets Go.

See folks, nothing to get excited about. Nothing's changed, Jay's still planning on dropping his debut album Neveruary 7, 2027.
In the last year Snoop Dogg has transformed into Snoop Lion, a rastafarian lover of peace, left behind his gangster past, launched a "No Guns Allowed" movement, and publicly supported Aaron Hernandez, someone who, because this is America, is an alledged murdered but, come on, totally killed that one dude, and probably more people.
Hmmmm...one of these things is not like the other. Listen, it's never a good thing when anyone goes to jail, and IF Hernandez is found guilty and gets locked up, I genuinely hope he finds peace. But when we're shouting "Free [insert name here]!" every time someone gets nabbed for, you know, doing something illegal, it cheapens the call for justice for those truly falsely imprisoned.
I know I'm "late" on this one, and I don't really have any clever jokes, but come on. Is it ever too late to laugh at Ace Hood's watch falling apart on the red carpet? No, no it is not I say. In his defense, he did go on to say that he had to "fire" his jeweler. Unfortunately, his jeweler is the quarter machine outside the grocery store, pretty hard to fire an inanimate object.
Really though, I blame Drake. Without Drizzy would dudes like this have ever even thought of rapping/singing about hitting the club while caring about females emotions and what not?
