In an era when rappers, athletes and actors never say anything interesting in interviews because they don't want to stir up a Twitter firestorm, this is one of the more honest interviews I've ever seen from Timbo. Forget his work on "MCHG", was his Oxycotin addiction well known? I definitely didn't know about it. Trust me, there's enough rap nerds gems dropped here to make the listen worth it, enjoy.

I can't say I've been following Slim Thug's career closely for about....five years now....but apparently at the very least I've been missing out on some Twitter magic. While L.A.'s busy acting like a desperate girl by erecting building sized signs to Dwight Howard (I have to drive past that shit all the time, it's an embarrassment), Thugga mad his own pitch to Howard to come to Houston, a pitch that mostly involved hoes, strippers and a lower baby mama tax.

DJ Premier Drops Rap Nerd Gems on Combat Jack


If you're a rap nerd, no surprise, you're going to love Combat Jack's sit down with DJ Premier. I've heard a lot, but even I've never heard that "10 Crack Commandments" was originally a promo spot for Angie Martinez (yep, seriously). For even more interview dopeness, check out Part 2 and Part 3.


AND, as long as we're at it, Dallas Penn (of the Combat Jack show) dropped a fantastical video for Run the Jewels, and Peter Rosenberg did a really interesting interview with Ab-Soul. Stuck in the house with your family over the long holiday weekend? I'm giving you plenty of reasons to ignore them.

In completely non-rap related news, I think every guy watching this can relate to that nail in the head video above. I'd show this to my wife, but she'd accuse me of trying to fix our ongoing "Don't fix this obvious problem" debate.
