It’s Bigger Than Hip-Hop: Snoop Dogg & Drake Drop “No Guns Allowed” Video Posted by Nathan S. on 04/02/13 | Filed under Videos, Drake, Snoop Dogg

Like so many of us, I was pretty wary of Snoop Dogg's transition to Snoop Lion. Ok, full disclosure, "wary" isn't strong enough. Honestly, I was pretty sure it was at best a mistake, and at worst a cheap marketing gimmick.

And then I watched Snoop's "Reincarnated" documentary and I'm completely sold that this is legit. He's over 40-years-old and is taking a serious look at his legacy. He's conquered the gangster rap world as thoroughly as it can be conquered, what's next? What's next is an area he hasnt really touched yet - making a positive impact.

So while I completely agree with CPT, as a '80s baby I'll always love this Snoop best, I also completely support something like the new video for "No Guns Allowed". So while as a rapper I might want that G shit as a human being I'm applauding something like this.

Enjoy, it's bigger than hip-hop.
