Weekly Re-Up: Kanye’s Big Week, Lady Gaga Dry Humps R. Kelly & More

Posted by Lucas G. on 11/22/13 | Filed under Top Stories, Humor, Weekly Re-Up, General Awesomeness, Fails

Listen, it's Friday, we get it. Nobody really wants to do anything that involves using your brain. So the new Weekly Re-Up will provide you with both the biggest "Fails" and the most awesome "General Awesomeness", as well as some other must see shit from the week, and of course some boobs. We will also be including a "Weekend Rewind" selection to give you something to listen to this weekend. It's a whole lot of everything.

Now let's get started...

General Awesomeness:

Kanye Takeover #9,893,578
A Big video release, an SNL skit mocking you, and a beef with a clothes/shoes website…just another awesome week in the life of Kanye. (And yes, some of these could be considered fails, but they made us laugh, and laughter is always awesome). First, he was the subject of an actually funny SNL skit where Kanye and Kim had a morning show:

I thought both actor killed their roles, Kanye’s angry groans were great (“Food is jewelry now!” had me laughing) and whoever played Kim is really good; it takes a lot of talent to play someone with no talent. Also the premise of Kanye beefin’ with a Apple Store Genius over using the term genius is pretty funny too.  I bet Kanye hates the Apple store, but he is too busy feuding with Zappos to do anything about it. Zappos? Kanye? Dafuq? Well,  on Bret Easton Ellis’ podcast  Kanye has some choice words for Zappos,

I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he's trying to tell me what I need to focus on. Meanwhile, he sells all this shit product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling shit product.

For how much he loves fashion Kanye really seems to hate everybody in the fashion wold, assuming that Zappos is a fashion thing (honestly I have no idea). Anyhow Zappos ain’t nuthin' to fuck with, so they fired back with a 100,000 dollar plunger known as the “Shit Product”. If Kanye really wanted to win the war, he would have bought one; ultimate power move right there.

Just another week in the life of the one and only Kanye West. Oh and he got to see some David Blaine magic too. Kanye loves magic.

Wreck(ingball)-N-Effect

I will pay you 100 RefinedHype dollaz if this doesn’t make you laugh. Dude gets me every time. I always wonder how the fuck athletes can concentrate with deafening noise, absurd giant posters, or heaven forbid this, but then I think maybe the opposite would work, like if you have just one person yell, it might be more distracting. Well, I’m pretty sure this one instance proves my theory correct. Out of nowhere some weirdo belts out Miley’s “Wrecking Ball" as the guy is trying to shoot, and sure enough, he misses. I don’t want to say I’m a genius, but I'm totally going to say I’m a genius.  Keep your Cameron Crazies or Seahawks 12th Man, I’ll take crazy Miley guy every day and twice on Sunday. Oh and heckling works in the pros to0…

Banner week for hecklers. In other news Dwight Howard is now seeking to be traded after his feelings were hurt by that mean scary man.

Fails Of The Week:

Momma Said Knock You Out

I try to keep the mood on these light, but this shit legitimately makes me mad. Apparently this point ‘em out knock ‘em out “game” where you sucker punch an unsuspecting person is becoming a growing trend. You can read the whole deal here, but the short of it is that now, it somehow funny for kids to go around punching random, unsuspecting targets, like a 78-year-old woman or a 46-year-old man (who died from the hit). What the fuck is wrong with people? I’m all for someone falling or the occasional table top, but how is just sucker punching someone a thing that exists? Since when did it become acceptable to just go around assaulting people? Cool you punched a homeless man and got on WorldStar and got a few likes on Facebook. Congratufuckinglations.

If we're going to laugh at other people's pain, these are much more my style:

Lady Gag-uhhhh

As much as I hate the knockout game, I’d rather play than have to see these two perform together ever again. On SNL Lady Gaga teamed up with R. Kelly as the duo performed “Do What You Want”. For the first few minutes, I was praying this was a skit. I was waiting for Mya Rudolph to take of the wig and reveal herself; those dance moves at the beginning look like fake, mock moves. But it wasn’t until R. Kelly mounted her and they proceeded to dry hump that I came to the realization that this was real. I love when R Kelly has to pass his shades and mic of to someone random so he can properly fake hump GaGa. Give some credit to GaGa’s wig though for staying on the whole time. SNL has gone down hill these past few years, but that was some of the funniest shit I have seen in a long time.

Weekend Soundtrack:

When I did the Outkast hate piece, of course I had to listen to a few cuts, which spawned an Outkast binge. I feel like I binge on Outkast more than any other artist; you never get sick ‘em. So for this weekend let's go with "Aquemini" because…do I even fucking need a reason? Caution, one listen and you wont be able to listen to anything else for at least a week. Any weekend is a good weekend if you got some Outkast.

Comment of the Week:
A new addition to the "Weekly Re-Up". We love RefinedHype nation because y'all are funny, smart and love boobs. So here is where we give you a place to shine. Each week we'll highlight a comment that was incredigly insightful, just made us laugh, or both. The first ever winner? John Hatfield with his “I thought Shaq was the hip hop Shaq...” comment on the Rap Game: The NBA Player-Rapper Comparisons Complex Got Wrong. Johnny Cakes got me on that "Inception" tip with some mindblowing, but totally obvious observation. Congrats John! The next segment goes out to you…

Boobs of the Week!
But not just any hooters…boobs AND A Tribe Called Quest…. And I thought boobs couldn’t get any better.Long live ATCQ and of course Stephanie Santiago.
