By now I'm sure we're all familiar with Rick Ross' now notorious date rape lyric on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O." and the backlash that soon followed. Unfortunately for us, it seems that we've now entered a new level of f**kery thanks to the number of rappers who have come to Ross' defense. You've got rappers like Tyga who apparently believe that as long as he can turn to good ol' "freedom of speech," Ross can rap about whatever the hell he wants to.

Now, Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill has voiced his opinion on Ross' controversial lyric. Here's what Meek had to say during an interview with a D.C. radio station:

"I don’t even care about nobody criticizing no lyrics. People rap about killing stuff all day. Biggie said, 'Rape your kid, throw her over the bridge' back then, it was nothing, it was just hip-hop. Now you got all these weirdos on these social sites voicing their opinion about something anybody say. I don’t care, I’m from the hood. I never really cared about what nobody saying in no rap. Rap’s always been talking about killing, drugs, all types of stuff. So you can’t just criticize no one thing nobody say. It’s imaginary visual. If a writer write about somebody getting raped in a movie, that mean he a rapist or he want girls to get raped? No, he just wrote about that in a movie."

The most cringeworthy part of that response has to be Meek not caring about "what nobody saying in no rap." If that's the case then Meek and the the rest of the Maybach Music Musketeers need to call it a wrap now because last time I checked rap music has a lot to do with what someone's saying on a record. Just ask the numerous gangsters who have been after Ross for a minute.

This is one instance where I really wish rappers would stop pretending to be hard a**es for a few seconds and admit that Ross' lyric is wrong. You can listen to Meek's interview below.
