I won't front, when I saw Kendrick Lamar's new single, "Compton", featured Dr. Dre, my first thought was "fuck", and with good reason. When's the last time you heard a Dr. Dre guest feature and thought to yourself "Man, I'm glad Dre was on that, he really made it better"? Dre had become a richer version of Swizz Beatz, with better headphones.

But I have to give it to the man, he comes through on "Compton". I would still rather hear more of Kendrick going over this dope Just Blaze beat, but still, overall this is a release worthy of a highly anticipated album. It's crazy late at night, we'll see if I feel any different in the morning, but for now I'm just straight up feeling this.

If you're not looking forward to the release of Kendrick's major label debut, "g.o.o.d. kid, madd city", on October 22, you've clearly lost all hope in the world. It might be time to end it all. Oh, and as long as we're here, might as well post the tracklist as well - that Lady Gaga track is going to explode the interwebs.
