It was 2003 when Freeway grabbed Just Blaze to produce the bulk of Free's 2003 debut, "Philadelphia Freeway", and almost a decade later both men are legends in the game who have finally reunited for "Early". So yeah, it's kind of a big deal.

As I've said time and time again, if you're talking about consistent emcees, you have to be talking about Freeway. The man's literally never done a wack verse, and considering the telephone book size of his catalog at this point, that's one hell of an accomplishment. Predictably "Early" is no different, just bar after bar of the kind of Freeway shotgun blast rhymes we've come to expect.

Free's long-awaited "Diamond in the Ruff" album drops in a week, November 27. I know I won't be the only member of RefinedHype Nation checking it out. In the meantime, enjoy...
