For Your Oscar Consideration: Kanye West is an “American Psycho” (Video)

Ever have one of those movies that has always been on your list to see, but for one reason or another haven't (it's not on Netflix)? For me one that’s at the top of the list is "American Psycho" starring Christian Bale. I have been dying to see Batman play a serial killer, but now, thanks to Kanye West I don’t have to worry about seeing it. In an effort to make Yeezus more strange, and out of the ordinary than it already is, Kanye released this trailer inspired by American Psycho.

It’s strange, weird, but well done; the perfect microcosm for Yeezus. I love the way “New Slaves” is playing as he takes the axe to the guy. If I were to make a collection of albums for a serial killer, Yeezus would definitely be one of the first albums I put in there.

The two guys in the video Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban, both have some real world ties to Kanye and his new family. Scott is currently dating Kourtney Kardashian and Cheban is a good friend of the family. Whether you like him or hate him, love the album or hate it, you have to admit that between the video projections and this, Kanye is an incredible marketer.

Also, we're now a year away from Ye complaining about not getting a Short Film Oscar, so we have that to look forward to.
