Seems like the only time we get a good cypher these days is when the BET Hip-Hop Awards air in October, but low and behold California-based beatsmith Hit-Boy has released a "Cypher" of his own. The rapper/producer recruited an interesting array of big-name talent and lesser known artists for his "Cypher" record, which boasts appearances from about 10 different emcee's.

At a little under five minutes long, by the time you find yourself feeling a particular rapper's verse it's on to the next one and while the verses on "Cypher" are brief there's still a number of highlights. Take for instance, the addition of Method Man and Redman on the record. Those two on a record together again along with that verse from Xzibit are certainly not everyday occurrences.
