Fails of the Week: The Fat Guy Who Yells Proposes, Timbo Apologizes & More

Posted by Nathan S. on 07/26/13 | Filed under Humor, Fails of the Week, Fails

The dictionary defines "Schadenfreude" as pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. In that case, we're about to get Schadenfreude like a motherfucker up in this piece.

For the latest edition of "Fails of the Week" (aka your favorite running column that doesn't involve random hot girls) I tackle The Fat Guy Who Yells' marriage proposal, Timbo's apology to Chris Brown and more.

Enjoy...

The Future Mr. Minaj

Once informed by his lawyers that he couldn't legally marry his own man titties, The Fat Guy Who Yells decided to switch up tactics and propose to Nicki Minaj (probably after watching this.)

The best part of this story is how many blogs reported it with a "We don't know if it's a joke or not..." disclaimer. Really? Really though? Even a fraction of your brain thinks this could be serious? Well then, you've clearly been listening to too much Nicki Minah music. It's ok, I understand. For than three minutes of this would turn anyone's brain to oatmeal.

On a related Fat Guy who Yells note, this video is all sorts of entertaining.

Timbaland, Apology Machine

All fucking right Timbo, I'm glad someone has the balls to tell these guys to leave Aaliyah the fuck alone. Between this and some of that production on "MCHG", I'm really starting to like you again...oh no...what? You did what?!?

Fuck man, come on. Why did you have to go and fuck this up? I mean, I know why - you suddenly realized that you probably want to produce Chris Brown's new single - but still, why? You're a legend, I'm gonna assume you don't need the money, have some fucking pride. What is with you and all the apologies lately?

TGIF-TGT

By now I know a lot of you have seen Ginuwine, Tank and Tyrese's "performance", but there's no way I could pass on it for "Fails of the Week" on the chance there's even one person out there who hasn't experienced this train wreck of a performance.

This isn't a TGT performance, this is three guys singing three different songs that happen to occasionally accidentally overlap. And while Ginuwine is clearly the worst, he also needs to be applauded - considering how high he obviously is, just not falling off that chair has to be considered an accomplishment.

Ginuwine looks like a Ginuwine robot that's being controlled by tiny people inside his brain, only the guy in charge of operating his eye and eyebrow movements is jacked up on Four Loko. And to think, ten years ago only the people watching the show would have been able to appreciate it. Thanks internet!

Glass Popcorn

I have yet to make it an official segment, but every week I've essentially been doing the same thing - pulling out one video that's fucking terrible from internet obscurity and mocking it. This week we've got a prime example of what I've started calling meta-ignorant rap, ignorant rap that's self-aware of it's own ignorance. Starting with Lil B, moving onto Riff Raff and now taken to the next level by Yung Lean, meta-ignorant rap has become a great way for white people to do is that racist? impressions of rapper while also being able to hide behind the guise of, "I'm making fun of myself to." If we're not careful, hip-hop's going to turn into a viral video competition.

Was that way too deep for a "Fails of the Week"? My apologies. In that case, just shut your brain off and laugh.
