Google Thinks Your Favorite Rapper Is Gay, Dead, Over-Rated & In Jail

Posted by Nathan S. on 07/11/13 | Filed under Humor, Fails
First and foremost, I have to give credit to my muse, "The Jeselnik Offensive". I recently discovered the show, it's fucking hilarious, and was dying at this sketch. It had me laughing so much I figured there had to be a rap version of the game I could play with RefinedHype Nation, and sure enough, after some fucking around research I got it.

Here's how you play:

1) Go to Google.com
2) Type in "[Rappers Name] Is"
3) Watch how Google completes your search
4) Shake your head in wonderment

Google search suggestions are a particularly fascinating look into the collective mind of the world. They don't care about being polite, or even remotely correct. All Google cares about is how many people are trying to find out about a particular thing, and if this game has taught me anything, it's that people mostly care about rappers being gay, dead, over-rated or in jail.

Welcome to the rest of your day. Let's get into some specific examples...

As if you needed proof that the world is dumber than a bag of bricks, really? That many people think there's even a possibility that Dr. Dre is an actual doctor? Really though? He is gay and ripped though, those two are true.

As long as we're talking Dr. Dre, we might as well do Eminem:

The dead thing makes sense, as does the secret Christian thing (I haven no idea if he is, but now I kind of want to find out). But a clone? I...don't even know what that could possible mean. Is it related to the dead conspiracy? He died and the Eminem we see now is a clone? If he is a clone, how does that affect his status in the GOAT debate? So many questions.

Let's move onto another high profile rapper:

After everything Jay's done in his long and illustrious career, this story is what the world now knows him for the most. I won't lie, I gotta agree with the interwebs on this one.

As long as we're talking Hova, let's talk his little brother;

Goddamn then, the Kanye hatred is real. The fact that so many people actually go through the effort to type the words "Kanye West is a douche" is simultaneously depressing and fucking hilarious.

Let's go back in history a little bit:

People really, really, really, really want Tupac to be alive. I mean really. If anything, this is yet more proof that Dave Chappelle is a genius.

We can't do Tupac without doing Biggie:

Huh, I didn't think there was that level of "Biggie is still alive" conspiracy theory action happening. Also, the fact that Tupac's name comes up when someone's searching for Biggie shows once again just how tied those to are in rap history.

Ok, let's take a left turn and start doing some more random rappers. I'll name the first rapper that comes to mind:

Damn, the interwebs is not kind to Nelly. Gay and broke aren't particularly susprising, not because I think he's gay and/or broke but because if this game has taught me anything, it's that the internet thinks everyone is gay and broke. Instead, it's that "from" question that gets me. Who the fuck doesn't know where Nelly's from? Apparently...a lot of the world.

Ok, let's do another random rapper. How about....

Bad times for J-Kwon, bad times. Apparently the options for J-Kwon's life are dead, in jail, missing, dead and in jail, dead and missing, or missing...in jail. ERRYBODY IN THE CLUB GET TIPSY.

Ok, so how about we flip J-Kwon and do someone who's new and highly elevant:

I didn't realize there was this level of debate surrounding Chance, either he's wack or amazing. (Or gay, again with the gay obsession.)

Alright, I need to stop before I literally spend the rest of my day doing this, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't spend the rest of your day playing the Rapper Google Search game. Hit me in the comments if you find one particularly hilarious/infuriating etc. Happy searching....
