This Week in General Awesomeness: The Life & Times of Eazy-E, Stoned Driving Tests & More

Posted by Nathan S. on 02/22/13 | Filed under Humor, General Awesomeness
The interwebs are a wonderful place filled with porn, more porn, and occasionally some other General Awesome stuff. That's where I come in. As a balance to the ever popular "Fails of the Week", below is some of the best the world has to offer in the form of the Roots and Method Man's live performance, a stoned driving test, the upcoming Eazy-E documentary and more.

Enjoy....

Shane Koyczan "To This Day Project"

If I can be allowed to kick things off with some serious shit, "poetry" can be a four-letter word in hip-hop circles, but it shouldn't be. Regardless of what label you stick on it, the subject matter, the flow, the passion here is powerful in a way I wish more hip-hop wasn't afraid to be. Props.

Protect Ya Motherfuckin Neck

So basically what you're telling me is The Roots covered Wu-Tang's classic "Protect Ya Neck", with Method Man and BlackThought splitting. Hold on, let me think about that...yep, that's still pretty fucking awesome. I would have slapped my grandma to have seen this live. (Sorry grandma, I'm sure you understand.)

Eazy-E Really Happened

Bill Simmons coined the term "Tyson Zone" to describe an athlete who's so crazy you'd believe any story about them you heard, no matter how insane. "Hey, did you hear Tyson once went hang-gliding with a python wrapped around his neck?" "Yeah....I could totally see that."

In rap history the two most prominent Tyson Zone members are ODB, and Eazy-E. The time Eazy and his brother pulled guns on Suge at the Interscope offices? Yep, really happened. You'd better believe I'm watching this documentary when it drops.

Somone Give These Guys a Pulitzer

Now this is fucking journalism. A local Seattle news crew ran an experiment where they gathered volunteers, gave them large quantities of weed, had them smoke, and then tested their driving skills.

The findings? You'd have to cremate Snoop Dogg, cremate him, blend those ashes with military grade marijuana, roll it into a four foot joint and smoke it before you'd be too high to drive. In fact, I'd argue that if everyone were mildly stoned, the roads would actually be safer. At the very least no one would be going over 30 mphs cause they'd all be paranoid about getting pulled over.

Boobs Are Awesome

Ah, boobs, making the world better since...the dawn of boobs.
