What album are you most excited for? J.Cole, Mac Miller, or Kanye; maybe you are more of a Statik Selektah fan (he too is dropping an album very soon). Although there is no shortage of big names dropping projects soon, none of them will hold a candle to the news that a new Froggy Fresh album is in the works.

For those asking, “Who the f**k is Froggy Fresh?” you might him better as Krispy Kream. Although he had to change his name, due to the threat of a lawsuit from the donuts company (who knew they could be so cruel), rest assured, that, along with his personal beat chef, Money Maker Mike, Froggy is still bringing the heat. It is with great pleasure I present you with the video of the year “Dunked On”, the lead single off the new, currently unscheduled and untitled album.

Now you might think I was kidding that this is the video of the year, but I assure I am not. I can't remember I enjoyed a music video this much; it is so well-done and creative. Every detail feels well thought out and perfectly placed, from the tin-foil trophy to old-school Bulls championship hats. I have to imagine that even the poorly timed dubs are on purpose as well. Also,where in the hell did they get an array of old school uni’s and where can I get mine? The song is equally as impressive as the video. Is his flow traditionally good? Of course not, but is so off it makes it enjoyable. They lyrics aren’t great, but the story he tells is top notch; I know I am a 24-year-old and should be above toilet humor, but captain Poopy Shoes is pure gold. What’s crazy though, is the beat and the hook are actually pretty good; good luck trying to get it out of your head.



To be totally honest, I would be 10 times more likely to buy their album than one by guys like 2 Chainz or Wacka Flocka. Sure the production value isn’t as good and the vocals aren’t great, but give me something that sounds like it was made from the heart and is super creative, over another boring, club album. I know they lyrics aren’t great, but its still better than this line “She Got a big booty so I call her big booty”. At least he is telling a story instead of just spouting out nonsense. While it might be his shtick, you can tell Froggy really puts thought into his music; from the cohesive story to the details in the video it is very well put together. I don’t understand why people dismiss Froggy, ar least he knows what he is doing is off the wall, whereas some of the mainstream artists drop content on the same level and are considered “real” artists.
