Ric Flair Approves of Pusha T, 2 Chainz & Big Sean’s “Who I Am”, WOOOOO!!!!! Posted by Nathan S. on 06/14/13 | Filed under Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Pusha T

Having somehow, someway recovered from the body blow that was that J-Kwon diss track, Pusha T found the strength to pull through and deliver his latest single, "Who I Am".

Now considering how he acts when he's excited I don't want to risk angering King Push, but after a few listens, my guy reaction is "dope, but I was hoping for more." Pusha bodies his verse, but that beat just doesn't go anywhere, and 2 Chainz and Big Sean's verses are solid but not particularly rewind-worthy!!! [Exclamation, exclamation, exclamation.] Frankly I prefer "Numbers on the Board", and it's not even that close.

On a sample tip, Kanye co-produced this, which means he bought back that "yeah..." vocal sample he's apparently obsessed with sticking into the background (ex. the 0:14 mark). Anyone know what that is? And why do I feel like I recognize those subtle alarm sounds in the background?

Anyway, Push's "My Name Is My Name" drops on July 16. My expectations are higher than Snoop Dogg in Humboldt County.
