Nas & Damian Marley Declare Only the “Strong Will Continue” (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 01/22/10 | Filed under Top Stories, Downloads, Nas, Damian Marley

When your album gets pushed back more times than the Dallas Cowboys offensive line it's bound to spring a leak, and sure enough today the first song of Nas and Damian Marley's dual album "Distant Relatives" hit the interwebs. Thankfully "Strong Will Continue" is a damn good track, centered around some symphonic production that Nas absolutely kills, though personally I don't think Marley's vocals mesh well with the rock-opera production. I'm not saying the man can only do reggae, I'm just saying that this sounds...weird.

On another note, how is the name of this song not "Strong will Survive"? The only thing I ca think is that "continue" is just a lot easier to rhyme than "survive." F**k, even Nas says "strong will survive" at the end of the trac. Any other hypotheses? This will be bothering me all day.

Oh, and originally set to be released in March, "Distant Relatives" is now slated to hit stores sometime before the coming of the apocalypse.
