In typical
Lupe Fiasco fashion, the man built some serious buzz behind his "
SLR" freestyle and widely appraised "
Show Goes On" single, the man has essentially disappeared. (And by the way,
I told you a CLR project
isn't going to happen.) Well played Mr. Fiasco. That essential lack of new Fiasco material means that even when a new radio freestyle pops up, even when it's not that great, people get to talking.
I'm not sure where this ranks in the all-time "
Ten Crack Commandments" freestyles list, but it can't be at the top. Listen, and then weep thinking about how one of the greatest living lyricists is wasting his talents.
(Note to whatever DJ that is in the background - shut up. I want to hear Lupe rhyming, not your exaggerated laughter. Thanks.)
