I like it lyrically but I don't love the production. It's the opposite of Hell of a Life imo. I feel like with a production tweak here or there it would fit maybe as a bonus track |

I feel the same way about this song I felt about The Joy or Chain Heavy. Lyrically I dig them and the productions not that bad, but compared to alot of the production on MBDTF they are HIGHLY understated. Funny thing is, you actually have people on (enter other site here) saying this should have replaced Gorgeous. Retards |

I think it's a good song. I can imagine this on College Dropout or Graduation. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? No. It's underwhelming in comparison, because this album is taken to new levels because of the grandeur. All of the tracks are stadium-music like, magnificent and larger than life tracks. This track doesn't fit into the mold created. Plus, this joint's production is too... happy. I used to think there were one too many adjectives in the title (it still is kinda lengthy), but really Kanye picked three great adjectives to describe his album: beautiful, dark and twisted. That's exactly what the album is. And that's exactly what "Eyes Closed" is not, if you ignore the lyrics. I just can't imagine "Eyes Closed" having a place anywhere on the tracklist. @SmokinAces I wanna believe you're lying. I swear, I went to iTunes to get a quick feel of the album again to write this comment and picked Gorgeous first. God. Complex had an album preview up for Snoop's new album and one of the tracks was "Eyes Closed" featuring Kanye and John Legend, but the blog has since been taken down. ^^Good hustle boi (Big Sean voice) Anyone else feel like that Big Sean mixtape was just as 'good' as the original release? He hasnt grown on me as an actual rapper..Pause. This song doesnt seem finished anyway, so maybe it would have sounded better as a GOOD Friday release, I can hear CyHi on this. MAYBE Hov... Nathan, what are your thoughts on Big Sean - Finally Famous 3? I'm curious, because I feel like the only one who thinks he is over rated, until the last two tracks (Memories, Almost Wrote a Love Song). He needs something.. And on this song, I can see this being a bonus track, with the feel of that other one with Beyonce. Seems happier and those type of drums that sound picnic with the abuelas happy. |

Looks like RefinedHype Nation is almost completely in consensus. This is an interesting track, I'll take it, but it belongs nowhere near a classic album. To answer Young Mo Fo, I wasn't blown away by Finally Famous 3, but then again I'm not a huge Big Sean fan. That's not hate, I just don't seem to connect with him like other folks do. |
