God Kanye West’s Verses on Katy Perry’s “E.T. (Remix)” Are Terrible (Listen & Download)

For the record, I'm in no way inherently against Kanye West doing a verse or two on a Katy Perry remix. She's one of the world's biggest pop stars, he's a rapper who once did an entire pop album, in many ways it's only right. What I am against, however, is wack rap, and Mr. West work on the "E.T. (Remix)" is wack is makes Brian Pumper sound like Nas. (Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the point.)

The flow's terrible, ever punchline falls flat, there's just not much to like here. Here's just a quick taste of some of the lyrical gems the esteemed Mr. West deemed it worthy to drop off:

"They callin me...a big headed astronaut / maybe it's because your boy Yeezy get ass a lot." (So big headed astronauts are notorious for getting ass? I mean, I guess. Maybe.)

"I know a bar out in Mars / where they drive spaceships instead of cars." (Really? Is that bar in Mars also near the stars...jars.....tar...czar...is it far?)

"I'ma disrobe you / then I'ma probe you / see I abducted you so I tell you what to do." (Actually, that's just kind of creepy.)

How is it possible that the same man who did that steaming hot pile of microphone poo did this? Oh well, I guess we all have our off days. Only when Ye has an off day, he gets brutally mocked by a-holes like me. Price of fame Yeezy, price of fame.

iMg	I won't complain about the picture, I will complain about the song though. I'm pretty surprised to see a Katy Perry song here, but I can understand since Kanye's on it and he's pretty bad on it.

Kanye's lyrics don't bother me at all on here, actually I find it funny. In a nonsensical kind of way, it's good for a laugh. (I hope that made sense)

What is surprising to me is that Katy did a song with him, even though about a year or so ago she was saying "eff you Kanye" and interrupting his Mtvu segment when during nominations. If I was Kanye I'd fuck up her song too.

These verses just don't get to me, I guess they should but they simply don't I like the senselessness in them. Better than Waka or anyone, so eh. It's not like he does it often.
