Kanye West’s “Yeezus” Cover Plus “Bound” Snippet, Simplistic Or Genius?

You could say that Kanye West has a flair for the dramatic. I mean, he did debut his "New Slaves" record on the sides of buildings worldwide. But the Chi-Town rapper has taken a much more subtle approach for the album art for his upcoming album, "Yeezus." In fact, the album features no artwork. Instead, you merely see the physical CD and a sticker that reads "Yeezus." Because you'd hate to get "Yeezus" confused with all your other cover art-less albums.

Personally, I like the minimalistic approach. I would love to hear the reason behind the lack of cover art and I'm sure Kanye's got a hell of a reason, but I can dig it. Also, along with the reveal of the "Yeezus" cover art, or lack of, we're also treated to a snippet of a record from the album titled "Bound." With a heavy soul sample, the record can probably best be described as "vintage 'Ye." The sample only lasts about 15 seconds and lacks any lyrical addition from Yeezy, but seems pretty promising.

Nathan Update: For the record, I gave Danielle the clearance to break our "no snippets/previews/etc." rule because I thought that shit Kanye did was at the very least noteworthy. Technically it's incredibly easy to do, but I've never actually seen an artist do the "hover over to play" thing.
