Gucci Mane & Chief Keef Plunge Us Into Lyrical Hell On “Darker” (Listen & Download)

Well, it looks like any hopes of mentally and physically preparing ourselves for a Gucci Mane and Chief Keef collab have gone to hell. Fantastic. A mere hours after announcing that Chief Keef would serve as the latest addition to his Bricksquad label, Gucci Mane released his first collaboration with the Chicago rapper as a Bricksquad signee. Titled "Darker," the record is about as bad as you'd expect. Come on, this is real life we're talking about here. There is no way in hell that Gucci Mane and Chief Keef are capable of dropping anything past mediocre.

I really don't understand what the allure is when it comes to Gucci and Keef. They both sound like they're rapping with a severe head cold and lyrically their bars are about as elementary as mid-day naps and animal-shaped crackers. Not to mention, the production on "Darker" sounds like it borrows components from every other Gucci Mane song we've heard.
