Even More Rap Lines That Make No F**king Sense

We Are Young Money Album Cover
When it rains it pours. After I brought back out ongoing "Rap Lines That Make No F**king Sense" series last week with a Rick Ross take down I've been flooded with new examples. So many in fact that I've got no choice but to open the levee and let more nonsense wash over RefinedHype nation. There, I think I'm done with the water metaphors. Let's dive in.

Ghostface Killah ft. Raekwon & Malice - "Kilos (Remix)"

"We was 300 deep like Persian soldiers."

Ghost's original "Kilo"? A classic. The remix? Not so much, especially when Malice can't keep his Greek history references straight. Actually Malice, it was the Spartan soldiers that were 300 deep, and they were later completely massacred by the far more massive Persian army, so...yeah. You really couldn't have messed that one up more. (Shouts to Joshua James for the heads up.)

(Note: For some reason I can't find an embeddable version of this song anywhere. That's the original version above, you can listen to the remix in question here.)

Yung Joc - "Yea Boy"

"Damnit I get horny when I see myself / don't I look good?"

I clearly don't have high expectations for any song that made my "5 Ignorant Songs I'm Bumping Right Now" list, but that line's still remarkably bad. Joc was clearly going for a clever boast, but saying he gets horny looking at himself not only makes him kind of gay, but kind of gay in a really disturbing, narcissistic way. Somehow I doubt that was the effect he was going for here.

Kevin Rudolf ft. Birdman "I Made It"

"More money than I've seen in a garbage can"

I don't think anyone's surprised to see Birdman here, but still...I'm sorry. What? Do you regularly see money in garbage cans? Do you keep your money in a garbage can? Because I'm no banker, but I'm pretty sure that's a horrible place to keep your money. (You can thank J N for that one.)

Young Money - "Bedrock"

"He say Nicki don't stop you da bestest, And I just be comin off the top...asbestos"

We might as well keep the Cash Money train rolling. If I were to stretch that line from Nicki I guess I could say that asbestos is often found in ceilings, so it falls from the top of building, I guess. Maybe.

And as long as I'm here, shout out to Gudda Gudda for both "I'll let her be the judge, and I'm the case" and "and I got her nigga...grocery bag." What about her being a judge and you being the case is supposed to be hot? You want her to smack you with a gavel? Rule on you? And what the hell does a grocery bag have to do with anything? Ahhhhh this song is infuriating. (Props to WhispheR for pointing out the Nicki line.)

Come on people, we're just scratching the surface. Email me more failed lines at nathan(@)refinedhype.com.
