Drake, Rap Game Tim Tebow, Drops “Hold on We’re Going Home”

Fueled in large part by Drake, who basically extended us a public invitation to play "Drake, Rap Game [fill in the blank]" with that "light skinned Kieth Sweat" line, I've spent the last week with "Drake, Rap Game [fill in the blank]". So far here's my favorite, and allow me to add some more: Drake, Rap Game Brett Farve. Drake, Rap Game Tim Tebow. Here's why...

Like Tim Tebow two years ago, and Brett Farve before him, there was a time with ESPN couldn't go ten minutes without talking about Tebow or Farve (aka Farvbow), to the point where the audience was screaming, "We fucking get it, Farvbow is famous, isn't there anything else you can talk about?" But the ESPN execs would counter with, you might say you're sick of Farbow, but we see the numbers, and the numbers say you can't fucking get enough of watching/talking about Farbow.

That's exactly how I feel about Drake. As I think came out not-so-subtly the last time around, I'm kind of tired of HAVING to post every Drizzy song that drops, and I know I get, "We get it, he's famous, you don't have to post every song" emails, BUT....I see the numbers. Y'all might say you're sick of Aubrey, but you're definitely not. In fact, purely from a "how much traffic/how many comments will this piece illicit?" standpoint, Drake's part of that elite "must post" group that includes Kanye, Eminem and Jay Z. I literally can't afford to pass up on a Drake song, which might just be the best proof I've found yet that I should have had him much higher on the Rap Power Rankings.

All of which was a ridiculously long way of saying...hey, Drake's got a new song out that you're going to listen to and form an opinion about, otherwise you'll feel kind of left out of the national hip-hop discussion. It's called "Hold On We're Going Home", and it's firmly in that "sweatpants and no make up on, that's when you're the most beautiful" lane, and it also features vocals from Majid Jordan. It's basically some updated 90s R&B shit, it's fine. His female demographic will definitely bump it while eating ice cream in their sweatpants and fantasizing about being Mrs. Drake.

And as long as we're here, in related Farvbow/Drizzy news, he brought on a shit ton of people at his OVO fest last night, most notably Kanye, who he might just start making music with.

Enjoy, or what have you, and remember, the next time you're in traffic, "Drake, Rap Game [Fill in the Blank]" is a fucking fantastic way to pass the time.
