When I had FakeShoreDrive on the podcast we spent a lot of time talking about the current Chicago hip-hop scene. While drill artists like Keef and Lil Durk may get most of the headlines, drill is far from the only thing happening in the Chi. Case in point, this new "Jerseys & Loafers" joint (pun intended).

Part of the supremely dope "Closed Sessions" series, "Jerseys & Loafers" bring together Chuck Inglish (of Cool Kids fame) on the beat, then throws in vocals from Vic Mensa (of Kids These Days) and Alex Wiley. Honestly, I haven't really taken the time to listen to Wiley, the very small amount I've heard from him didn't grab me, but after this I might just be obligated to spend some time on the dude.

Regardless, some dudes coming together just for the sake of making dope music is the essence of hip-hop. Word to DJ RTC, the track is below the mini-documentary. Enjoy...
