Catching The F**k Up With Young Jeezy Nemesis, Freddie Gibbs Posted by Danielle Harling on 06/13/13 | Filed under Downloads, Freddie Gibbs

With Freddie Gibbs' debut album "ESGN" on the way and a feud with former affiliate Young Jeezy brewing, you've likely read a blog post or heard a new song from Gibbs at least 82 times this week. While Gibbs' gripe with Jeezy is becoming a little tiring, the Gary, Indiana rapper has managed to drop a few hilarious quotes thanks to his beef with the Snowman. Here's a mere sampling of Gibbs' quotables:

"I know it hurts you to hear your favorite rapper’s a fraud. It ain’t my fault...I know it breaks your heart, but I got to break it to ya.”

"But fuck that shit, my nigga. I’m feeding the whole city. [Young Jeezy] don’t do shit for me. I am going to point a nigga out when he bogus, and he was bogus for not owing up to his business relationship and doing what he was supposed to do business-wise."

Yes, Gibbs' line about Jeezy's (alleged) fraudulent ways breaking our hearts might damn near be classic, but he's dropped something far more important and that is new music. Most recently, Gangsta Gibbs hit fans with both "Freddie Soprano" and "One Eight Seven." Although 187 is in fact police code for murder, Gibbs' tune addresses "killer pu**y" (his words, not mine) with help from West Coast spitter Problem. But if you do like your Freddie Gibbs records a little more lyrical then look no further than "Freddie Soprano," a record that's surprisingly gritty given ID Labs' at times flowery production.

You can stream both "One Eight Seven" and "Freddie Soprano" below, and be on the look out for Gibbs' "ESGN" album, which is due out on July 9. Oh, and I have to ask, but does anyone else feel like Gibbs isn't quite getting the hype he needs due to the Cole/Kanye/Miller battle taking place next week?
