There's "real" rap, and then there's "really real" rap. Real rap might eschew the swag talk and Maybachs of the mainstream set, but it can often be just as impersonal. But really real rap not only avoids fantasies, it's brave enough to admit its faults and weakensses. It's brave enough to title a track, "Anxiety Attacks".

And while in the mouth of a lesser emcee something like "Anxiety Attacks" might come across as struggle rap, ¡MAYDAY! frontman Wrekonize is just too goddamn good to fall into any easy traps. In short, unless you're routinely eating lobster bisque for breakfast, I just don't see how you could not feel this joint.

Those in sudden need of some more Wrek in their life are in luck. The man's solo album is scheduled to drop his solo album, "The War Within", on June 4, and he just dropped a dope "The Rooftops Mixtape", that you can stream and cop for free via the mothership.
