If it weren’t for music, I would hate throwback Thursdays. Call me a negitive nacny, but I don’t much care to see your photos of photos when you were sitting on grandpas lap at thanksgiving. What I do care for however,  is songs that I have completely forgtotten about but will always have a special place in my heart. The best throwback Thursday posts are the ones that make you say “Holy shit, how could I have forgotten about this?! I love it so much!” and I think I have one of those here. Earlier this week, I was doing a writeup for the mothership, (this song if you are interested) and heard a sample that I could not put my finger on, but was painfully familiar. After a few repeats, it finally came to me; Lil Mo’s “Superwoman”.

I had totally forgotten about how much I love this song and with a young, fresh to the scene Fabolous rocking a Jamal Anderson jersey; definition of throwback right there. Nobody rmebers this song but if you played them that beat, they would know it in an instant, which is why it makes it the perfect throwback Thursday video. Flash forward to the current Thursday; what is Lil Mo up to these days? She is till making music, though hasn’t had a hit like “Superwoman” or “Put It On Me” in sometime now. She is however,  part of the reality show R&B Divas: LA, so it is only natural her new single, released last month, is called “I’m A Diva”.  It won’t be making any throwback Thursday posts in 12 years, but hey, its better than nothing (and certainly better than a shitty reality show).
