You can always expect Jamla Records' leading lady Rapsody to come through when it comes to dropping off audio dopeness and the rapstress does just that with the release of the Khrysis-produced "Everlasting." Combine the song's smooth, boom-bappish beat and Rapsody's knack for lyricism and "Everlasting" is easily one to vibe out to.

On the record, Rapsody touches on musical longevity as she offers up some words of wisdom first shared by 9th Wonder: "9th told me trends come and go, be 'bout your music/ Make it everlasting like them shoes when they be moving." It's almost a relief hearing an artist comment on the trendiness of music and the desire to stray away from exactly that. Kudos to Rapsody for getting it.

"Everlasting" will be featured on DJ Drama's upcoming "She Got Game" EP, which I think we can safely assume will boast an assortment of female emcee's.
