General Awesomeness: Hip-Hop Hits The Streets Literally Thanks To “Rap Quotes” Street Signs (Video) Posted by Danielle Harling on 03/28/13 | Filed under Videos, General Awesomeness, Art

When Hip-Hop and visual art comes together the result can sometimes be pretty damn dope and that's exactly the case with artist Jay Shells' "Rap Quotes" project. The project features about a dozen street signs that include rap lyrics from the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def, and Jeru The Damaja. The really cool thing about the signs is that the lyrics on them all make mention to a certain location. And yep, you guessed it, the signs are all placed at the specific location mentioned in whatever lyric is featured on them. Pretty dope, right?
