There are things in life that once you've seen, you can't unsee, no matter how hard you try (like that "2 Girls, 1 Cup" video, or the Octomom pics). That shit happened, you've just got to deal with it. That's essentially how I feel about Nicki Minaj's new single "Champion", also featuring Drake, Nas and Young Jeezy.

First things first, this isn't as bad as you probably feared when you first heard Nas would be getting on the Barbie bandwagon - in fact, this might just be the best Nicki Minaj track I've heard in....as far as I can remember. The hook's pretty weak sauce, but otherwise this isn't the most actual human being, not a cartoon, Nicki we've gotten in a long time. Just imagine if Nas got on "Beez in the Trap" (shudder).

As for the rhymes, noted Lil Wayne impersonator Drake sounds pretty Drake-ish, Young Jeezy sounds like he gargled some extra glass and gravel this morning (so pretty much normal), and while I don't think this will go on anyone's "Best Nas Verses of All-Time" list, God's Son is pretty damn solid on "Champion".

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we just found the most tolerable track on Nicki's upcoming "Roman Reloaded" album, dropping this coming Tuesday, April 3.
