Like anyone who blows up off a viral video, I was pretty wary about Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire - especially considering the name and image. Frankly he had here today, gone tomorrow, written all over him, and lord knows he's still a long, long way from longevity.

But as time has gone by and I've heard more and more of his music, and heard some pretty revealing interviews, I've come to respect eXquire. He's smarter than most give him credit for, he can rap better than most give him credit for, and he's very aware of the pitfalls of internet fame.

He's not so overwhelmingly dope I can guarantee you'll dig him, but if you've also been dismissing eXquire, take at least three minutes to listen to his new "The Message 1 and 2". And if you're feeling that, you might even want to check out the new "Power and Passion" EP he just dropped. I'm telling you, we might just have a legit new rapper on our hands...
