Over the years the term "freestyle" has changed (devolved?) from emceed spiting off the dome, to emcees spitting off a BlackBerry to writing down verses on paper, stepping into a recording studio and spitting off a BlackBerry over someone else's beat.

The upside is that now, more than ever, the ability to actually freestyle is an extremely easy way to divide dope emcees from pretenders. I've got a feeling that a lot of people who only knew him from "Yellow Bus" are going to be forced to call Mistah FAB a real emcee after watching him completely fucking destroy RapFix with a freestyle.
