Wow, are we listening to the same song here? I completely disagree. This is much, much better than Nothin' On You- which NEEDED the energy. This doesn't. It's not perfect, but it's definitely not bad, or even "sucks." Not in my opinion anyways. I mean lyrically Lupe is on point for sure, they're just nonchalant. Relaxed, but wistful. That said this isn't the full story for these tracks. I remember B.o.B saying that he never got into the studio with Hayley, but instead he received the hook via e-mail and that entire arrangement was done over e-mails. But if the track belonged to Lupe, how does that explain the Hayley hook? Curious things. |

i don't think this sucks either, well compared to half of Lasers, i'd prefer this, even though i think b.o.b's was better |

The weird part of this is that its not as pop as Bob's. Lupe hits it with his smart/less energy version while Bob's is different. This doesn't suck, but I've really heard enough of this chorus. this would not have gone big if it was lupe's. (Think "Words I Never Said"...It's not big even though it has a female chorus. Bob made this song with his energy) **Like the 2nd verse too. |

^^^When I say "big" I mean Pop/radio big. Not hip-hop big. Lupe's doin just fine with Lasers with the hip hop heads. |

this is not too bad actually...my favorite was Airplanes Pt. 2 with Em. That was my favorite version, mainly because Em killed it! But this not too bad...its decent... Lupe really screwed up though! |

I'll agree with the consensus. This doesn't suck. It's just a different approach Lupe brought to the song than B.o.B. I'm happy B.o.B. got to use this song though. He deserved to blow up the way he did with Nothin' On You and Airplanes. |

How does Lupe mess up twice and reject two hits. He did his thing on this track. |

Lupe did not want the songs, its obviously not only about hit records to him. Its important to have some, but he most likely wants to do it with his own choice of song, not a pre-made song. Still good though, he can always rap. |

The Lyrics in the song are solid, obviously it's a very different approach from B.o.B. Apparently Lupe just didn't want the song, heck he probably liked Bob's spin. As far as #1 singles go, Lupe released one of most politically charged songs in terms of lyrics, over a very commercial beat similar to this one. In theory it should have been in the top ten but it isn't; it is apparent to me that even if Lupe did keep this song it plausibly wouldn't have been in the top five or maybe it would have been. I digress, point is this is a good song and a valiant effort on Lupe's part. |
