Ludacris' slide into mediocrity has to be one of hip-hop's most baffling phenomenon. To be clear, he's far too skilled to ever be wack, but for literally years now it just feels like he's going through the motions. Dropping the tracks he thinks people expect, doing the same "crazy accent on the last syllable of every line" flow he's been using for years. I can't remember the last time I heard a Luda track and thought "oh shit!", and this new single "Representin" is no different.

The beat's fine, Kelly Rowland does her thing, Luda's rhymes are fine, but go ahead and listen to the track below and then tell me you're excited to press play again. I don't know, if this upcoming "Ludaversal" album is as mediocre as it feels like it's going to me, the man may be looking at a spot on the "Fell Off All-Star Squad".
