It looks like Young Money heavyweight Nicki Minaj had quite a lot to say to Lil Wayne in the time between Weezy expressing interest in signing her and then doing just that. So much so that she penned the previously unreleased record, "Letter To Lil Wayne." "Letter To Lil Wayne" is what I like to call "vintage Nicki Minaj," there aren't any weird accents, Nickelodeon-inspired singing, Roman references, or any other obscure gimmicks.

"Letter To Lil Wayne" is all about frustration and surprisingly that seems to make the record a lot more relatable compared with Minaj's recent releases. Taking on the instrumental from Lil Wayne's "The Drought Is Over 2" cut "Something You Forgot," the rapper expresses her gratitude but at the same questions what the hold up is when it comes to taking her music career to the next level.

Lyrically, the record isn't stellar but Minaj does rap throughout the entire song and that's got to count for something these days.
