The Weeknd Kindly Lets Wiz Khalifa Rap on His Own Track “Remember You” (Listen) Posted by Nathan S. on 09/24/12 | Filed under Wiz Khalifa, The Weeknd

Man, this new Weeknd "Remember You" track is pretty good, as long as you're in a Weeknd-y mood. I even kind of dig the Wiz Khalifa guest verse. It doesn't quite match the concept of the hook, but its solid. Wait, what's that? This is Wiz' single? Oh, I mean, I just assumed since we don't hear his voice until 1:45 into the song, it was a Weeknd joint.

Me being kind of a dick aside, it is, let's say "interesting", that Wiz has almost now presence in his own album single. This is a five minute song, and he's nowhere to be found for almost three minutes of it. Still, the overall effect is still pretty smooth, and while the hardcore Taylor Gang clan will be screaming about wanting more music like "Kush & OJ", I appreciate the man trying some new sounds someone else's sound.

Wiz' "O.N.I.F.C." album is due to drop sometime before "Detox". Until then, enjoy (or something)...
