What Should We Think About Lil Dicky’s Part-Controversial, Part-Hilarious “White Dude”? Posted by Danielle Harling on 06/06/13 | Filed under Humor, Videos, Lil Dicky

So, about this Lil Dicky guy, I have absolutely no idea what to think about the dude. Lil Dicky is creating some generous buzz thanks to his "White Dude" record and music video and while he's certainly no Eminem, he might be on the verge of creating his own little niche in the rap world.

The rapper, if we can even call him that yet, seems to poke fun of "white [dude] privilege" throughout the record as he drops lines like, "I ain't black or Dominican, not Hispanic or Indian, so imprisonment is not a predicament." Yeah, that's likely where the controversial part might jump into the picture. I mean, Lil Dicky is leagues above your Riff Raff's and your Kreayshawn's lyrically, but at the same time I have no idea if I should take the guy seriously or not. "White Dude" seems like it's merely a parody video, but at the same time there are a handful of crafty (though goofy) bars on the record.

So, check out "White Dude," share your thoughts, and for added fun, you can find "White Dude" on Rap Genius.

Nathan Update: He's also got a "So Hard' mixtape you can download right here if you find yourself properly intrigued. I've read a few commenters in RefinedHype Nation say it's good times, haven't personally listened yet.
