Strange times we live in my friends. I've got people hitting me up saying, "We're tired of reading you write about Kendrick Lamar, it's overkill," and the album just actually came out today. I guess that's what happens when projects leak a few days early, and most people only have a few day attention span, but since "GKMC" is a classic, I'm not nearly done talking about it.

You can consider "The Heart (Pt. 3)" a victory lap of sorts, a track created to allow Kendrick to reflect on how far he's come with his TDE family (Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, etc.). From the dollar menu at McDonald's to bringing out T.I. and Dr. Dre during shows, there's no doubt the man's come a long way, due in no small part to the insane passion he pours into every song.

When Kendrick wins, hip-hop wins, so today is a good day. Celebrate...

(p.s. - I assumed everyone knows this is part of a trilogy, here's Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 for those who'd like to catch up.)
