Jarren Benton Wants You to “Get a Load of Me” (Listen & Download)

Comparisons are so predictable. Despite the fact that their flows have almost nothing in common, there was no shortage of "Yelawolf sounds like Eminem" comparisons, primarily because they're both white and not much else. Instead, I'd argue that Jarren Benton's homicidally creative rhymes are far closer to a young Slim Shady, and I've now got previous feature "Ima Murder" and today's "Get a Load of Me" to back me up.

Make no mistake, no one's going to actually confuse "Get a Load" for an Em track, but it absolutely carries that same "I don't give a fuck, I'll say anything" attitude that Slim first burst onto the scene with. Come on, how many dudes you know would drop hilariously f-ed up rhymes like, "Whores get branded and hung / I just left the studio and I planted a bomb / hand me the anal lube and hand me that gun"? There aren't many.
