I’m tired of hearing nothing but bad news, that’s why I decided to write about positive and inspiring stories that are overlooked by the mainstream media in "It's All Good". This week...

Billy Ray Harris, a Missouri homeless man, life changed forever back in February while panhandling on a Kansas City street. While he was asking for change, he noticed that a woman had accidently dropped her diamond engagement ring in his cup. Billy took it to a jeweler to see how much it was worth and when he got told that the jeweler would buy it on the spot for $4,000, Bill considered it. But, he decided to hold onto it just incase the woman returned looking for it. That decision changed his life forever.

Sure enough, after a couple days, Sarah came back looking for the ring. When she asked Billy if he had the ring, he took it out of his cup and put it back on her finger.

“It just makes you realize there are good people out there,” Sarah Darling told KCTV back in February.

Having been surprised and so grateful, Sarah and her husband Bill decided to start a fundraiser for their hero, Billy. They were hoping to raise at least $1,000 for Billy’s act of kindness, but as the word spread, donations poured in and they raised more than $190,000.

Billy now owns a car and put a down payment on a home. He hopes to launch a house painting company too, TODAY reports. Beyond that, Billy was finally able to reconnect with family who he hasn’t seen or talked to in a long time.

“When I think of the past, I think –- thank God it’s over,” Harris told TODAY. “I feel human now.”
