I always try to be at least somewhat objective when it comes to music, but for the life of me, I can not get into 2 Chainz. I don’t hate him like I do some of his peers (French Montana), but unless he does an album with Pac, I won’t ever actively seek out his music. That being said, the latest leak off "B.O.A.T.S 2: Me Time", “Do It” isn’t the worst thing I have ever heard. It’s not a ringing endorsement, but still it’s better than what I was expecting.

What stood out to me was 2 Chainz' flow. The way he usually flows drives me crazy. He takes like a minute break after each line only to have the subsequent one sound way to0 similar to the one before it. But on “Do It” his flow is flow is relatively fast; there are few pauses here and there, but he actually, you know, rhymes words. It isn’t Shakespeare but its better than, “With a n***a like me I’m killing this beat. Skeet skeet skeet skeet, skeet on my sheets”.

Of course it doesn’t hurt that Lil Wayne and Drake are there to trade bars with Chainz; if this was all Chainz I would probably hate it, but Weezy and Drizzy provide a change of pace. This is good workout/get drunk music, but it by no means will make get me to run out and buy four copies of ""B.O.A.T.S 2."

I am more interested in what’s going on at the 4:46 mark. I’m thinking it is part of another song attached to the leak, but it's so random. I was sconfused when I had the song on in the background because it goes from Chainz screaming, “ fuck y’all” to a smooth, soulful cut. Imagining if it was actually 2 Chainz singing and he was just playing a sick joke on all of us. So, RefinedHype Nation, how do you feel about “Do It”?

P.S.- If you are interested, the album leaked today. I am not linking it becuase I know what he keeps on his bus, but it isn't too hard to find if you know where to look.
