Highly Anticipated G.O.O.D. Music Release “Mercy” Gets the Kanye Shrug (Listen)

Wait, are we sure this is it? That big G.O.O.D. Music release everyone was waiting for, this is it? "Mercy"? This one? This one right here? That track that was going to be the hottest shit of 2012? Seriously though, you're sure this is the right one? It's not some unfinished shit that leaked early? Oh, ok then, well.....in that case:



It's more of a sign of how high my expectations were for a G.O.O.D. Music release - those G.O.O.D. Friday releases were good enough to be a 4 mics album on its own - that "Mercy" feels like a let down, but whatever, it still feels like a let down. I'd take "Theraflu" all day over this.

The beat is this close to being dope, but it never quite gets there. Big Sean's verse is decent, Pusha T's verse is decent, Kanye's verse is decent, 2 Chainz verse is, well, a 2 Chainz verse. It's just a big ass bag of decent, which considering the potential this had, feels a lot like wack. Oh well, shrug, hopefully this will prove to be the weakest track on the album (he said optimistically).
