Regular readers know the story here. I'd heard Paypa's name thrown around for years but never really took the time to listen to him seriously until I heard "Where's the Love". That shit was so dope I had to listen to his "HOTR 2" album, that shit was dope too, and boom, here we are, with Paypa on my "must listen to any new tracks he drops" list.

Sure enough, the Chi Town emcee's latest "Serenity" is just as ill as its predecessors. Once again B!nk comes through with a soulfully banging beat that Paypa fills with rewind worthy wordplay that manages to avoid the "look at me, I said something clever!" trap. Throw in yet another solid 16 from Emilio Rojas and I'm all over this like Rick Ross on an Old Town Buffet.

"Serenity" is the first release from Paypa's upcoming "Kim Jong Ill" mixtape, due to drop sometime before "Detox". In the meantime, enjoy. Oh, and as long as we're here....
