Kim Kardashian-Loving Kanye West Sends “Theraflu” Sales Soaring (Listen & Download)

While everyone awaits the first official single from the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album (the art work's already here!!!), we get a new Kanye West joint that's sure to set the gossip interwebs on fire, and dramatically increase sales of "Theraflu". Seriously though, it's only a matter of weeks before we're hearing about rappers mixing codeine, Theraflu and Sprite just because Ye mentioned it.

Anyway.....the origins of "Theraflu" are a little murky. Did Kanye himself give it to Funk Flex to premiere? Was it The Fat Guy Who Yells who leaked it (he does get a feature credit because he says five words in the intro)? DJ Pharris? Whatever the story, here's what we do know:

1) This is that "Watch the Throne"-esque Kanye that's only interested in talking about himself and stirring up some controversy - and I'll be damned if it doesn't work every time. The man's a hip-hop and promotional genius.

2) The Hit Boy beat sounds a lot like Needlz' beat for "I'm Goin In". I'm not saying Hit Boy jacked it, I'm just saying.

3) Yeezy ensures some TMZ coverage by claiming he was trying to fuck Kim Kardashian (also, water is wet), jokes about having Jay-Z kick Kris Humphries off the Nets and maybe throws a shot at Wiz, or maybe not:

"And the whole industry want to f*** your old chick
Only n**** I got respect for is Wiz
And I admit I fell in love with Kim
'Round the same time she fell in love with him
Well that's cool, babygirl do your thing
Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team"

Yep, that'll get 'em talking.

4) That opening line - "Can a young ni**a get money anymore" - comes from Ma$e's "Lookin At Me", continuing Kanye's odd obsession with references Ma$e (see "Devil in a Blue Dress").

5) And last but not least, we get a hell of a "Can the headphones go louder?" ad-lib in the opening. Fucks yeah!! God I get way too excited about that shit.
