Ah, the good ol' interwebs, where people post things even if they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Case in point, this new
Eminem leak "
Give Me the Ball", which everyone seems to agree is a leftover from "Recovery". Now lord knows I know just as little as the rest of these folks, but if I know anything about the industry, and I know a little, there's no f**king way this was ever intended to be on "Recovery".
First, I think we can all agree that this is far from a finished product - it's in rough draft form at best. Second, considering it both topically and sonically doesn't sound anything like the rest of "Recovery", ad given the amount of Pistons reference, I'm actually going to bet this was for some video game, maybe "NBA Live", or maybe a track especially for the Pistons themselves.
That sounds a lot more plausible than any of the scenarios I've heard floating around, anyone else have a hypothesis?
