Dom Kennedy, Sir Michael Rocks & Asher Roth Whip “New Jeeps” (Listen)

In retrospect west coast repper Dom Kennedy's "From the Westside With Love" was the mixtape before the mixtape that everyone is automatically interested in, and now that automatic project has arrived in the form of "From the Westside With Love II". I'll make it simple, if you dig new single "New Jeeps" you'll dig the album. If not it could go either way.

Chuck Inglish is responsible for the beat, and as long as he's working he pulls on his fellow Cool Kid Sir Michael Rocks for a verse as well. Add in a solid verse from Dom and it's the kind of track you could, fittingly, hear blasting out open jeeps in the summer, but it's really Asher Roth that made me hit the rewind button. I know a lot of people are still dismissing him as the "white college dude" rapper, but I'm telling you, Asher is a legit emcee.
