Thurz Continues to Be Dope on “Kings Keep Marching” (Listen & Download)

RefinedHype regulars have undoubtedly noticed a serious up tick in posts from former U-N-I member Thurz. Tell you what, when the man stops making dope, original and meaningful hip-hop I'll stop posting his music. Until then, it's "Kings Keep Marching" all day. Any complaints?

While most producers would be tempted to do the overly literal thing and sample a marching band (the music version of this), here beatsmith "don't spell it with a d" Sounwave adds just enough horn to make the track march while balancing it out with live percussion and subtle samples. Throw in yet another impressive lyrical performance from Thurz and you've got the only thing I've had in my headphones for the last 20 minutes. Hey, you know a track's nice when I'm willing to overlook all the love for the Lakers.

Thurz is undecided whether this will make his "L.A. Riots" project. We'll just have to find out when it drops....soon.
