Go Ahead, Tell Me ForteBowie & Aleon Craft’s “Decatur” Isn’t Dope (Listen & Download)

When I was considering having RefinedHype get behind Atlanta emcee ForteBowie he played me his upcoming "Something About Bowie" album and I had two responses. One, this is dope, we'll definitely support. And two, you need to release "Decatur" as single. It's good to see someone listen to me for a change. Go ahead, tell me I was wrong.

(Note: My opinion probably had nothing to do with their decision to release "Decatur", I just like to feel important.)

Having already proven that he can rhyme on "The Thesis" and his non-suck 'Tupac Back" freestyle (the aptly-titled "3 Stax Back"), on "Decatur" Bowie is not only responsible for that breezy, catchy as hell production but he busts out some nice vocals too. Throw in a verse from RefinedHype Nation citizen Aleon Craft (bonus points for the old school MJB reference) and you've got a song whose strength is its simplicity.

More dopeness coming before the release of "Something About Bowie" drops on July 8. Keep it locked.
