Curtiss King Flies High on “Jet Pack on E” (Mixtape Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 08/17/10 | Filed under Downloads, Mixtapes, Curtiss King

Curtiss King, the Inland Empire based rapper-producer we last heard refusing to hand out "Freebie", has finally dropped his new project "Jet Pack on E", and I have to admit, as expected it's dope. As anyone who's read my "Your Favorite Rapper is Poor" series, I've been calling for some honestly in hip-hop, and Curtiss has delivered, filling "Jet Pack" with tales of his struggles as an up-and-coming emcee/beatsmith that always manages to inspire and never depress.

Although he's obviously got the skills himself, King takes a backseat on the production tip, enlisting the services of such beatsmiths as Tae Beast, Jansport J, Willie B, Captain, Ayiro and Jbizness. One a microphone tip, "Jet Pack" guest features get dropped off by of Ab-Soul, Stevie Crooks, Lite (Coolroy), Richard Wright, Noa James, Ill Camille, Finess and more. If you're looking for that real rap - no seriously, I mean really real" - you need to gets to downloading now.

And if you thought I was going to go this entire post without mentioning "The Rocketeer" you were wrong. God I was in love with Jennifer Connely in that movie.
